Day 1
Yogyakarta and Dieng Plateau Tours Will start by visiting Prambanan as the most biggest Hinduism temple in Asia. Prambanan temple also known as Candi Rara jongrang by locals was located 15 km to the east side of Yogyakarta city. This temple was built in 9th century by king Rakai pikatan from Sanjaya dynasty. And the architecture of Prambanan temple symbolizes the belief in Hindu religion. There are three temples in the primary yard, namely Shiva temple, Brahma temple and Vishnu temple. Each main temple has accompanying temple.Shiva temple accompanied by Nandini temple.
Brahma temple accompanied by Angsa temple. While Vishnu temple accompanied by Garuda temple. The reliefs on the temple walls tell the story of Ramayana and the relief of kalpataru tree was considered a symbol of sustainability, life and harmony.
This place was built in 1755 by pangeran Mangkubumi. Physically, the palace has seven core complexes, namely Siti Hinggil Ler, Kamandungan Ler, Sri Manganti, Kedhaton, Kamagangan, Kamandhungan Kidul, and Siti Hinggil Kidul. It also has various cultural heritages, such as traditional ceremonies and historic objects. This Palace is a cultural heritage that is protected by government. Borobudur temple is a remarkable masterpiece and recognized by UNESCO. The largest Buddhist temple in the world was built in the 9th century. The temple is like puzzle of millions of volcanic rocks. The construction process reached until 75 years. Giant stones were carved and designed to lock each other. Every stone was arranged without cement. This temple is also decorated with beautiful reliefs, which tells the phase of human life.
Drive to Wonosobo
(The small town as a transit place to visit Dieng Plateau) and stay overnight.
Day 2
Early wake up and drive to Sikunir Hills (prepare breakfast box) to see the Gold Sunrise. From this point you will surprised by the landscape around it. Four highs mountain in central java (Sindoro, Sumbing, Merapi and Merbabu will clearly seen from this point. After sunrise, your guide will escort you to some destinations as mention bellow:
The area of the lake is estimated to be three times the size of the football field. So, it is claimed as the largest lake in the plateau. The lake is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The uniqueness is color of the water can change. Sometimes water looks yellow, green or rainbow. The scene is clearly visible during morning until noon. Of course, when the sun shines bright, and not foggy.
It was formed by the eruption of the volcano. The uniqueness of this crater is the location can be moved. The displacement occurs every four years. The crater is still active, so you can see volcanic mud eruption activity, and poisonous gas bursts. This place is not far from complex of Arjuna temple. Dieng Culture Festival is usually held in Arjuna temple complex. The festival is celebrated in the presence camping ground, merchant stands, music festival, cultural arts, and lantern release. You can also watch the procession of haircut dreadlocks children atau anak bajang. In the same location, you can find Semar temple, Srikandi temple, Sembadra temple, and Puntadewa temple.
After the Dieng plateau tour finish, you will directly transfer to your hotel in Yogykarta, and journey will take 3 hours drive. Stay overnight in your hotel.
Day 3
After breakfast and check out from hotel, your guide will accompany you to traditional and iconic batik place.
Batik had been recognized by UNESCO since October 2nd 2009. Recognition was related to manufacturing techniques, technology, development of motives and culture. Jogjakarta has distinctive motives, that are different form other cities. Being in Jogjakarta, you can find many place to buy and learn this masterpiece.
Kotagede was the capital of the Kesultanan Mataram. The King or Sultan very loved silver, so the people were ordered to make silver jewelry. The ability to make silverware is growing up to now. That why Kotagede is known as center of silver industry. The manufacturing process requires patience and thoroughness. You can see the process of making silver jewelry through this tour.
